A peaceful place to slow down,  SPA CHALET VELUWE is a privately operated holiday chalet in the beautiful Veluwe region of the Netherlands.

We created the chalet as a place where guests can step away from everyday life and enjoy a more relaxed pace.

The property has been renovated and modernised while retaining some of the character and charm of an older chalet.

The private fenced garden gives you your own outdoor space, including a wood-fired hot tub, barrel sauna and outdoor shower. After a sauna session, you can cool down in the fresh air, relax on the garden furniture and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Inside, you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas, three bedrooms, bathroom facilities, air conditioning, heating, television and WiFi. The chalet is particularly suitable for families, couples and small groups of friends who appreciate nature, privacy and wellness. We hope that you will feel at home, enjoy the surrounding Veluwe and leave feeling rested and refreshed.

Check-out: by 10:00 AM

Self check-in is available from 15:00 onwards. The key is kept in the key safe next to the entrance door. Your personal key-safe code will normally be provided approximately 2 days before arrival through the messaging system of the booking platform used for your reservation.

Earlier check-in or later check-out may be possible on request, depending on availability and the cleaning schedule. Please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

The chalet is located in Bungalowpark De Kern, a quiet and family-oriented holiday park.

There are several entrances to the park. The entrance at Krachtighuizerkern 22 is the appropriate entrance for the chalet. As a useful landmark, the café Het Smulhuisje is located near the entrance.

After entering the park, the chalet is approximately 100 metres ahead. Chalet No. 24 is the dark grey chalet on the left.

Parking

A private parking space is available at the chalet.

A parking card is provided inside the chalet. Please do not lose the parking card or key.

Sleeping Arrangements

The chalet has three bedrooms and accommodates up to 4 adults and 2 children.

Sleeping arrangements:
1 double bed
2 single beds
1 children's bunk bed suitable for children up to approximately 14 years old

The bedroom with two single beds can be prepared as one double bed using a bed bridge between the mattresses. If you would like this arrangement, please request it at least 4 days before arrival. We will do our best to accommodate later requests, but cannot guarantee them.

A baby cot is available upon request. For hygiene reasons, guests should bring their own cot bedding.

Private Wellness

The chalet has a private:

• Wood-fired hot tub
• Barrel sauna
• Outdoor shower

The hot tub and sauna are available for guests' private use. Please note that firewood is not included. Guests who wish to use the sauna or hot tub should bring suitable dry firewood or purchase it locally.

Suitable firewood is generally available at supermarkets, DIY stores and staffed petrol stations in the surrounding area.

Approximate wood requirements:
Sauna: approximately 1–3 bags, depending on the starting temperature and desired heat.
Hot tub: approximately 2–4 bags, depending on outdoor temperature, weather conditions and starting water temperature.

These quantities are estimates only and actual consumption may vary.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is cleaned and disinfected before every guest arrival. Depending on the preparation schedule, the hot tub may either be filled with fresh water before arrival or left empty for guests to fill.

If the tub needs filling, use the water tap next to the hot tub. The water flow is controlled by a timer and a level safety system.

For stays shorter than 4 nights, additional water-treatment tablets are generally not required. For stays longer than 4 days, please follow the instructions provided at the chalet regarding water treatment.

If the water becomes dirty during your stay and needs to be changed, please contact us before doing so. We can guide you through the process.

Please never allow pets into the hot tub.

Electricity

The chalet has two air-conditioning units. Please note that the chalet has a total electrical capacity of approximately 16 A / 3.5 kW.

To avoid the main circuit breaker tripping, please avoid using several high-power appliances simultaneously. For example, using the air conditioning, oven, kettle and hot tub pump at the same time may exceed the available capacity.

WiFi

Free WiFi is available throughout the chalet. The WiFi details are provided to guests as part of the arrival information.

Park Facilities

Guests are welcome to use the facilities available at the holiday park, subject to the park's own opening times and rules.

Facilities include:

• Bicycle parking

The swimming pool is generally open during the summer season, approximately June through August, subject to weather conditions and the park's current schedule.

Please note that park facilities are operated independently and their opening dates, times and availability may change.

Cleaning & Check-out

Cleaning is included in the accommodation arrangement. At check-out, you do not need to strip the beds or do any cleaning.

We kindly ask guests to:

• Put used dishes into the dishwasher
• Run the dishwasher
• Place rubbish in the designated Putten municipality rubbish bags
• Leave the chalet and its contents in a reasonably tidy condition

Please do not place loose rubbish directly into the waste bins. The park uses specific blue rubbish bags bearing the Putten municipality logo, which will be provided.

Note about the Chalet

SPA CHALET VELUWE is an older chalet that has been extensively renovated, modernised and maintained. While we aim to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay, guests should expect that the property retains some of the character and features of an older holiday chalet.
